Meet the Team

James started St. Johns Wood FC in 2011, after coaching in the community for Arsenal and another local club. In addition to running SJW, James works as a scout for Arsenal and is hopeful of finding the next Emile Smith-Rowe.

Did you know: It could have been the F3 Freestylers, if James had stuck with it when he was a kid!

Jack has been inspiring kids at St. Johns Wood for the past nine years, and started as a director at the club in 2020 during Covid-19, alongside his work coaching sport in an International School.

We are delighted to have Warren back at St. John's Wood this season!  After coaching here in 2013 and 2014, Warren left to join Charlton Athletic where he coached the Women's team before coaching their U9 - U14 boys academy teams..  But the launch of SJW Girls was a project that Warren couldn't turn down, and we welcome him back with open arms.  A UEFA B Coach, he was recognised as London coach of the decade during his time with Islington Football development increasing participation among women and girls in the local area! Welcome back!

Did you know? Warren enjoys paragliding and open water swimming!

Edson has probably worked with more players at SJW than any other coach .. as if you join at 3/4 years old then your SJW journey will probably start with him.  He is a true SJW legend, not only because he is a fantastic football coach but because he brings so much energy to the club!

Shelina joined SJW as a parent to one of our U10 boys, and felt the strong community of the club was missing one thing! Girls! She worked with the directors to launch the dedicated SjwGirls  club in 2021. Shelina is incredibly passionate about girls sport and also brings a parent view to the board room

Shaz joined SJW Girls this season, in addition to her role with Tufnell Park.  Shaz was captain of her schools football team and trained with Arsenal's development team before joining Islington Ladies.  We love having her here!

Silas is responsible for getting all our boys and girls match fit! During 2020 Silas started a fitness social page to inspire people to get out and run 5km or do a little bit of exercise every day!

U8 Coach

Olu played for Tottenham from 7 to 18 signing his first professional contract under Harry Redknapp! During his time there he shared a pitch with Harry Kane, Jermaine Defoe, Luca Modric and Robbie Keane, before moving to Norwich, Falkirk and AFC Wimbledon.

Olu is new to SJW this season, but as a UEFA B Coach and 1:1 specialist we can't wait to see what he achieves!
